Look: To direct one's attention; to direct the eyes; to exercise the power of vision.  (Look!) is the exclamatory command to pay close attention, to heed, and/or to consider.  We are going to look...up to Christ, look...at His hands, look...out for envy, and look...around for detours in life.  Let's put our (spiritual) glasses on and look deep into the Word of God!

Look Up!

Philippians 2:9-11—“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”

Hebrews 12:2—“…looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

Look! Week Two

Look At His Hands!

Luke 24:36-39—“Now as they said these things, Jesus Himself stood in the midst of them, and said to them, ‘Peace to you.’  But they were terrified and frightened, and supposed they had seen a spirit.  And He said to them, ‘Why are you troubled?  And why do doubts arise in your hearts?  Behold My hands and My feet, that it is I Myself.  Handle Me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have.’”

Look! Week Three

Look Out!

John 21:20-22—“Then Peter, turning around, saw the disciple, whom Jesus loved following…Then Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, ‘But Lord, what about this man?’  Jesus said to him, ‘If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to youYou follow Me.’”

Look Around!

Acts 8:26-27a“Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, ‘Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.’  This is desert.  So he arose and went.”
