Trivial Pursuit? The Pursuit of God

Are we living our lives in pursuit of things that are trivial, that is, that will have little to no eternal value?  The Apostle Paul stated:  "...that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death." (Philippians 3:10)  In Trivial Pursuit our desire to know God better and to love Him more as we pursue what matters most to Him!  We will strive to "lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us" so that we can "run (pursue) with endurance the race that is set before us." (Hebrews 12:1b)

If we truly believe the bible is the Word of God & if we believe Jesus came to this earth through a virgin birth, was tempted, yet knew no sin & that He died on the cross for our sins, rising 3 days later, then it's our duty & privilege to be ready to share the gospel with other as Jesus commanded us in Mat. 28:18-20: And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
